Royal Isles (Garnet Isles)- The Garnet Isles is a wide Kingdom in the north eastern part of the continent, ruled by the people known as the Kingsfolk who are a militarist people that conquer nearby lands to expand their young empire. The kingdom gets its name from the coast line which is its most northern land boarder, though the empires boundaries stretch far out into the Garnet ocean itself. Most of the Garnet Isles is made of rugged forest lands, plains and many great lakes which dot the country side. While united under one banner to follow the royal family the Garnet Isles are broken down into six fiefs, each with a ruling noble(baron) who governs portions of land but reports directly to the king.
Real world comparative- The Empire of the Royal Isles is best compared to the British Empire of the 1800's at least in terms of economic, and military strength though the culture is based off the Dark Ages of Europe.
Clan of the Wilds (Timber Crest)- A cold forested empire in the south eastern part of the continent ruled by the muscular and powerfully built Varrel. Most of this vast wooded land is heavily unexplored, with many small villages spread out through its wilderness. Protected on its western bounders by the worlds largest mountain ranges, a vast ocean on its eastern border and hundreds of miles of dense, rough country side Timber Crest is a difficult place to war with and even harder to live in with its drawn out, bitter cold winters.
Real world comparative- The Clan of the Wilds are best compared to the vikings of Northern Europe during the dark ages where their people raided coastal villages and capture slaves to sell.
Kingdom of Terra (Stone Basin)- Composed of almost entirely vast, unyielding mountain ranges and massive, snowy valleys Stone Basin is a difficult place to find any resemblance civilization. Most, if not all civilization with this region is located deep within the stony mountains guts, home to the Dwarven people who've lived deep within the world for thousands of years. Stone Basin is surrounded by rivers on its northern boundary, seas to its west and south, to their eastern front are the mighty Varrel and deep forests though the Dwarves have little claim to such forested lands.
Real world comparative- The Kingdom of Terra are best compared to the Irish and Scottish of the Dark ages at least in the since of their culture.
Silent Imperium (Silent Grove)- Nearing the center of the continent rests an ancient forest with trees said to be as old as the world itself and are able to block out the sun light as they rise into the sky. This mystical, strange lands are home to the elf people known as Gracelings. Once a thriving, powerful civilization the Gracelings now hide among the leaves to shield themselves from outside threats. Bordered to the north west are the hot sands of the Ember Hills, to the east are the Kingsfolk and to the south are the icy mountains of the Dwarves.
Real world comparative- Its hard to place exactly what the Silent Imperium would be based on exactly just think of them as nobles who look down upon other races with disgust, with little military strength and who keep to themselves. Culturally speaking they could be compared to the Native Americans of the new world with their respect and love of their world deep at heart.
Empire of Flame (Ember Hills)- Scorching vast deserts and craggy sandstone spires lay near the center of the continent that comprise the majority of the Ember Hills, home to the Draconic people. A vicious, hard landscape only the toughest of life forms are able to survive in such conditions, of heat, and drought. Most of the area's water can be found in hidden oasis and across its northern border where thick marshes block the deserts from the northern oceans. To the west are the Gadeni lands of Fallen Brook, the massive forests of Silent Grove to the east and wide unclaimed mountains to the south.
Real world comparative- Empire of the Flame can be best compared to that of the Middle eastern Empires of the Dark Ages in terms of economic power but not so much in military strength.
Western Clans (Fallen Brook)- A still, soft land to the far west with flat plains from horizon one horizon to the next, humid rain forests and snowy mountains in the far north. These peaceful lands are home to the many different species of Gadeni. While a united people the kingdom is heavily separated by species, having split the lands into small clans which rule independently from one another but work together to form a stronger union. To the west and south are dense rain forests and clear blue seas, to the north are stony, snow peaked mountains, to the east are the sand dunes of the Draconic people and to the south east are thick marshes which provide a barrier to the southern seas.
Real world comparative- The Western Clans can best be compared to that of Eastern Asia (Japan, China, Korea) culturally and military wise, of the early 12th century; never have a land war in Fallen Brook.
