Customized Novice Spells

So if you haven't see the novice spell list yet you should check it out, if you have then keep reading.
There are quite a few spells listed there for starting spells however I feel as though a few categories could have a few more spells to them. That being stated I am taking suggestions in this thread for any ideas for novice spells. If you have any good ideas post them here in the following format.

Novice
With a whip of the arm and an open hand, a small explosion is caused upon a surface up to 4 meters away from the caster. One post cooldown. 1? Mana

Shoryuken Charge
Energy
Novice
Channeling energy into one's hand, it is able to increase its power, allowing it to land a fast, crackling punch that can nearly dent heavy armor.
2 mana

Sticky or some cooler name
Augmentation
Novice
The user's hand becomes controllably adhesive, allowing it to climb flat surfaces or increase its grip on an object currently held. The change lasts until the user cancels it or runs out of mana. Two post cooldown.

After some review; while we liked all your suggestions, only sticky was chosen to be added to the Novice Spell List. The others were a bit to powerful for novice skill as most novice spells are supportive in nature and less for offense capabilities.

"Toepad- The user's finger tips morph into pads which increase their gripping ability, allowing them to climb surface with greater ease. Toepad lasts until the user cancels it or runs out of mana. One post cool down.
Augmentation Skill- Novice, 1 mana per post"

Sticky has been reworked slightly as you can see above. The name was changed and how it works is slightly different but its basic nature is still the same, its mana usage was changed as well to be a constant drain while active since its a sustained morph at such at a Novice level.

You have been credited in creating the spell on the list, thanks for the idea and we hope to see more of them in the future!

User reaches to the ground pulling forth a four foot long whip of thorns. They use it to strike out quickly at their target. The whip however quickly deteriorates and dissolves. (Lasts for one post. One post cooldown. 1 Mana)
