Death while often painful and slow, isn't permanent in these realms. Once dead your character will be transported to either the Higher realms or The Wastes. Skills and other abilities are kept upon death, however items can be taken by other characters if nearby at the time of death.
Higher Realms-
Where those of noble mind and body are sent for their good deeds below.
The Wastes-
Those with blackened hearts are sent for their evil deeds above.
~Death~
Dying can take place in one of four ways.
1) Joining a Death Enable thread; Plot, quest and bounty threads are all death enabled. Any thread with a King/Ruler is Death enabled.
2) Attacking a capital city, i.e, its people, guards, NPC's
3) Attacking a NPC.
4) Being poisoned; if poisoned and able to escape the thread the target has three days to seek out a cure before they die.
Upon death, 50% of all Valor and Rep will be lost.
~Post Death~
While in the realms of the dead a visitor will approach your character and give them a task in exchange for new life, what this is, who could say. A person can choose to reject the quest if they wish, but they will be stuck in that realm until someone below or above finds a way to bring them back to life or they can pay a high price of Exp in exchange for life.
~Rebirth~
If an agreement or a payment is met then the character will be revived at their capital city, and be unable to rejoin the thread in which they died in or any connecting threads. Any items the person had on them upon death will be returned unless they were taken by others who where nearby. If a task was agreed upon it must be completed within a months time otherwise they will be sent back to which ever realm they were revived from.
~Last Will~
Death plagues the lands which noble adventures trek across, it is not an uncommon site, however a person dying twice is. Upon a second death of an individual that character cannot be revived in any possible way and is stuck in whatever plain they find themselves till the end of time. At this point the player can choose to create a new character, but fear not, all which your first character gained will not be lost. The player can have a will made to deliver all property and belongings to their new character; personal items that were on the character at the time of death may be recovered if not taken by another in the same thread which they died. Property such as land, homes and other structures can be given in the will as well. Not all items have to be delivered to one person as the writer of the will can deliver whatever they want to whom ever they want.
