(Everything in the above picture is accurate with exception of the weapon and tail. His tail is a lion's tail.)
Hiromasa is a lion... or that's what his parents told him, but most people compare him to the more docile feline species, cats. His body is lean without any excess muscle, and the claws on his hands and feet are rather short. They're still growing! He has a white bed of hair on his chest, however, the rest of his body is covered in a light golden brown fur from head to toe. Other lions his age are already growing their long majestic mane! Perhaps the only real indication that he is -in fact- a lion, is the long thin tail with a brush of hair at its end.-Character Description-
Hiromasa is an inquisitive and upbeat kid always looking for something to do and broaden his horizons. He doesn't have a clear plan for the future, but that's okay! He's taken an interest to craftsmanship though and he would like to learn how to smith, so maybe he can do that. He is open minded and liberal towards many things, but he hates slavery, as most Gadeni. Being a lion, he is a bit less restricted when it comes to meals compared to other Gadeni and he's not exactly religious either. When it comes to love he is extremely charming and desires a family of his own (although not anytime soon), who he tends to be very attached to, since he has a great need for love and security.-Background-
Felines are known for their litter, and no, not the box where their... you know. Hiromasa was born to a traditional family where the father is head of household, all property is inherited by the oldest son, and the kids run away from their frightening mother. There is one sibling who is considerably older than Hiromasa, but he had left the litter to join the Gadeni military and make their clan proud by serving their kingdom. Such a pursuit will no doubt brandish him with many lucratives; therefore, under agreement, the land is to be inherited by the second oldest son, Hiromasa. Oh boy!Hiromasa's father is a lion. He works as a craftsman and, as a pass-time, fisherman. His mother, a cat, supports him as the authority in trading policies and business strategies. They wanted to start a farm in their land, but with their oldest and most capable son out of the litter; there was only Hiromasa left, and he couldn't handle all of that work on his own. His younger siblings were too young to assist. He did, however, help around by fishing and taking care of his siblings. Hiromasa also has a knack for craftsmanship, as his father likes to point out.
Hiromasa has lived a fulfilling life thus far. He spends quality time with family every day, he works hard (to build character), and it seems like his future is already assured! It's more than most can say. Many individuals his age have no idea what their life will be like in the future. With that said, the thought that this is all there is for him to look forward too presents a dull panging sensation he can't shake off. It's almost as if he were on the verge of having a panic attack, but he has kept that aspect hidden. It's not like Hiromasa doesn't appreciate what has been ordained for him, he looks forward to the day he starts his own litter -perhaps upgrade their home a yarn or two, and roll around on the floor while all his children pounce over him. He would look up from the floor and glance at his beautiful wife. Certainly, his future looked bright.
In spite of this, there existed a fervent thirst for adventure deep within him. He wanted to get out of Fallen Brook and walk on the surface and discover new places and new people. He's heard of Dracons, Shroudlings, and Dwarves, but he's never seen one other than picture books and depictions. If he joined the army, like his brother, he could venture out -but he didn't want to risk his life! It's too dangerous... Plus, who would look after his siblings if he left?
Often times, Hiromasa would climb to the top of the wide crack that shields their civilization from the world and admires the vast open land just beyond his reach. He stands there, as the sun sets and rises.
-Languages-
Common Tongue
Sky Speak
-Armor-
Hiromasa does not wear armor as of yet. He relies on his agility to stay out of trouble while wearing only short trousers.
-Weapons-
Hiromasa does not wield a weapon yet. Being relatively young, his claws are still a bit short, but if aimed correctly -deadly.
Weapon Skills
Unarmed-Novice
- Adrenaline Rush- Adrenaline is a stress hormone secreted from the adrenal glands on the kidneys. It plays a major role in preparing the body for a fight-or-flight reaction in threatening environments. When under stress from a physical or imagined threat, Hiromasa perceives his surroundings as if time had slowed down. This skill enables him to dodge or block a single attack in the nick of time, though it's not perfect. This move can only be used to defend oneself from an impending attack. (40 stamina, 1 post cooldown)
- Sprint- In a flash Hiromasa sprints forward on all fours in a single burst of speed allowing for him to cover 30 feet (9 meters) in the blink of an eye. While fast the sudden rush of movement is not easy to control allowing for a fixed line of movement without change. (20 Stamina, 1 post cooldown)
- Clapperclaw- Signature move of every feline. His claws may be small, but they're sharp enough to draw blood! In close-combat Hiromasa can swipe at his opponent twice in quick succession while at arm's reach. (20 stamina, 1 post cooldown)
Spells
Does not possess magic yet.
-Land-
Hiromasa's plot of land is not exactly his plot. He's too young. It belongs to his father, however, he will inherit it when he becomes of age and responsible enough to take on the family business. The land consists of a single wooden home stationed conveniently at the foot of a river. The house has an overhanging balcony from which they can fish comfortably. Fishing is just a side business though, their main income emerges from his father's craftsmanship and his mother's trading policies; they make a great team. Their property spans far enough to farm, but there just isn't enough time for a fourth occupation.
