-Character Description-
Beltane has a proud and slightly standoffish personality, but she can become very devoted to who and what she puts her mind to. If she can help it she avoids the Kingsfolk which can sometimes be trouble depending on the town she is selling in. However, all her thoughts on that matter come from the stories she had heard from her family. If she had things her way she would spend all her free time in solitude in the forest. Beltane’s life is quite leisurely as most of her time is preoccupied by the hobbies she takes part in. These hobbies include collecting bones, gems, and plants and turning them into oddities and conversation pieces that can be sold. Sometimes she can become so entranced in her work that animals will come and watch the silent show.
-Background-
Beltane’s family story is not too special. She grew up only with a mother and sister, her father was never in the picture and she wasn’t sure if it was that he was dead or simply not around. All she knew was he was not there in the beginning and would not be there in the end. Her family was kept alienated from others as it was, and Beltane further distanced herself even from them. It wasn’t that her mother and sister were bad people, it’s just you tire of seeing the same faces day after day. Then the day came when the girl of only 18 decided to leave the only place she had known. There was much protesting and warnings of danger or enslavement, but she would rather have the option of danger than none at all. She was positive she could make her way alone. After all her days in the forest were never spent uselessly, Beltane knew every plant, rock, and animal and a book of that knowledge she had written herself was one of her prized possessions.
Beltane left her home feeling rather good and fearless, and very much alone but happy nonetheless. Within less than a week of leaving her tendencies as a collector had left her saddled with more treasures than she knew what to do with. Soon the thought slipped into her mind that perhaps someone else would see the organic pieces as remarkable as she and would pay. After all there is only so much energy one can gain from eating berries and leaves and Beltane refused to lay a finger on an animal. Unfortunately this meant that she was hungry and irritable for quite some time and would need the money to break the spell.
With the lifestyle Beltane was living it was easy to say she was just getting by and was able to do so until she was around 20 years of age. At which point she had become very charismatic with others when need be. This all brought her to a decently populated town on a rather sunny day. Throughout the day she was able to sell some things here and there and also saw a small and young shroudling boy pass by a few times. It appeared that he was acting as an assistant to some woman and his arms were completely full with groceries and other items. He did not look happy and Beltane’s heart went out to the creature but it was best not to get involved.
Well, that was how she thought about the situation until later in that day when dusk was just beginning to settle over the town. People were still out and bustling around, Beltane was sat serenely on a bench watching. It was all very peaceful until the woman heard a loud whooshing sound. It seemed everyone else had as well because silence fell like a blanket and the air thickened. Less than half a minute later there were multiple loud crashes and people began screaming. Beltane jumped up and looked around frantically, and truly saw 3 juvenile wyverns crawling down onto the roads and grabbing people one by one. The chaos was indescribable and she looked left and right for a way out. People were everywhere so she would have to push.
The young graceling nimbly raced between adults and children alike, only slowing for one moment to see the shroudling from earlier watch as his master was snatched up by a beast. The boy was not moving and Beltane made the split second decision to grab him hard enough to tear his arm off and shock him back into reality. She pulled on him until he was able to begin running with her and the two sprinted out of the town and into the woods. Even as they made it far into the forest some others jogged around them but Beltane had to slow to a stop and curl over to pant. She could hear the boy’s jagged breathing and he stood stock still. “I’m so sorry I grabbed you like that but I just couldn’t keep going knowing you were back there,” she panted.
“No… it’s fine. I’m actually relieved,” he confessed, “but nobody is going to believe this is how I got free if we are spotted together.” Beltane nodded in agreement, but for some reason she was determined to get away with the kid. Soon she discovered the shroudling’s name was Kaleanon, but she just called him Kal and the pair became quite good at working together into the present day.

Athame: A 10 inch knife made out of the femur of an ox. Typically they are sacred knives which are used in pagan rituals, carved with runes, and are never to touch blood, lest they become tainted. Beltane had traded one of her items for the piece and carries it at her thigh. (Unranked)

Thorn Whip- Beltane reaches to the ground pulling forth a four foot long whip of thorns. She uses to strike out quickly at her target. The whip however quickly deteriorates and dissolves. (Lasts for one post. One post cooldown. 1 Mana)
Root Snare - Tearing roots from the ground creates a small maze of knotting roots beneath, or in front of a person. If caught in the snare the person is bound in place for one post. Two post cool down.
Nature Skill- Novice, 2 mana
Wood Craft - Using nearby sources of timber a person can magically alter it into various small objects such as wooden tools, boxes, and make shift shivs or clubs. No cool down.

Tiger Lily – Beltane thrusts her hands against the ground channeling magical energy into the earth. A ring of tiger lilies appear around her and release a cloud of thick pollen outwards. This cloud can obscure vision and make breathing difficult for all but Beltane in the area. (Cloud of pollen lasts two posts. Three cooldown. 2 Mana)
Root Spear- The user summons four thick roots from the ground. They twist together to form a point and the user can use it to strike out at the opponent. (Two cooldown. 2 Mana)
Pan's Hold- The user summons roots from the ground, they leap towards the opponent and grab onto one of their limbs. The roots retract back into the ground, pulling the target with them until that limb is buried. Once buried the roots lose their hold and the entrapped target can attempt to break free. (Three post cooldown. 2 Mana)
